Huff, Puff, and Applaud – It’s The Three Little Pigs!

We meet the three Pigs as they have a family meeting and decide that it’s time they moved out of their mom’s house and started lives of their own. One by one they meet up with a kindly merchant who sells them materials to build their new homes– straw, sticks, and bricks. Soon, the bumbling, hungry silly Wolf appears and tries to get the pigs to give him some food– but they won’t. The wolf gets angry and blows down the straw and stick houses. The pigs escape to their brother’s brick house. The Wolf is unable to blow the brick house down and orders the pigs to come out so he can give the pigs a piece of his mind. In the end, the pigs teach the Wolf to control his temper and how to be a friend and the pigs promise to be his new pals.

A delightful mix of laughter and learning—The Three Little Pigs brings classic storytelling to life, sparking imagination and reinforcing valuable lessons for students and teachers alike!

Who Will Prevail—You or the Trail?

You are cordially invited to the Hansen Museum’s annual meeting, taking place on March 30th at 3 pm in the Community Room. This year’s event promises to be an engaging and immersive experience, with a special presentation by historian Connie Cox titled “Who Will Prevail—You or the Trail?” Connie will transport us back in time, sharing the stories of Kansas settlers who braved the unpredictable frontier from the mid-1850s to the late 1800s. Dressed in full period costume, she will recount the hardships, resilience, and determination of these pioneers as they sought a new beginning.

During the meeting, you will also have the opportunity to explore the current exhibition, A Place to Call Home, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of those who shaped our community. Additionally, all museum members in attendance will be entered into a giveaway to win a unique chain saw carving by Blair Smith. Refreshments will be served, providing a wonderful chance to mingle with fellow members and enjoy the entertainment. We look forward to seeing you there!
