Artist of the Month

Artist of the Month: Sherri Vanness
Establishing and cultivating relationships with local makers and creatives is one way we invest in our community. The Artist of the Month Contest serves as inspiration, challenging them to keep creating and growing.
Each year, exhibitors in our Arts and Crafts Fair participate in the Artist of the Month contest. Twelve winners are chosen for their uniqueness, creativity, presentation, individual art form, and excellence of their craft.
In addition to receiving special recognition for their achievement, their works are displayed and available for purchase in the Museum for their honored month.
Come support our artist of the month: We’re excited to feature Autumn Leaym of Greenleaf, KS this month at the Hansen Museum!
Sherri Vanness, of Kearney, Nebraska, is the owner and operator of 67th Street Goodies. Using produce grown in her own garden, Sherri transforms her bountiful harvest into delicious, handcrafted foods in her commercial-grade kitchen, which is regularly inspected by health and safety officials. From her garden to your table, enjoy a variety of homemade jellies, salsas, pickles, sauerkraut, and snack mixes.
Would you like to see your arts/crafts displayed at the museum?
Our upcoming annual Arts and Crafts Fair is your opportunity to exhibit your artistic wares, as well as to participate in the contest to become Artist of the Month.
