Artist of the Month: Autumn Leaym
Establishing and cultivating relationships with local makers and creatives is one way we invest in our community. The Artist of the Month Contest serves as inspiration, challenging them to keep creating and growing.
Each year, exhibitors in our Arts and Crafts Fair participate in the Artist of the Month contest. Twelve winners are chosen for their uniqueness, creativity, presentation, individual art form, and excellence of their craft.
In addition to receiving special recognition for their achievement, their works are displayed and available for purchase in the Museum for their honored month.
Come support our artist of the month: We’re excited to feature Autumn Leaym of Greenleaf, KS this month at the Hansen Museum!
Autumn Leaym, from Greenleaf, Kansas, brings a sense of fun and imagination to her work through playful, handcrafted jewelry and trinkets. Using wire, beads, rhinestones, and resin, she creates colorful, whimsical pieces that don’t take themselves too seriously and are meant to spark joy. Beyond jewelry, Autumn also bends wire into charming small forms and uses polyresin to craft creative miniatures—like detailed cocktail designs—that showcase her inventive approach and love of experimentation. Her work celebrates creativity, humor, and the simple pleasure of handmade art.
Would you like to see your arts/crafts displayed at the museum?
Our upcoming annual Arts and Crafts Fair is your opportunity to exhibit your artistic wares, as well as to participate in the contest to become Artist of the Month.
